Steel caracteristics
The Tourbillon FA formwork tie bar system consists of a high yield bar with deformations specially designed to form a thread along the entire length of the bar, allowing the bar to be cut to the required length on site. Tourbillon FA complies with the NF P 93-350 standard of June 1995 concerning formworks.
You can recognize Tourbillon FA by its 2 lines along the bar. This bar is principally used like a formwork tie bar. With its full range of accessories, it is the most widely used formwork tie bar in France.
Charpy value and bending
Tourbillon FA has a Charpy value of 28 J at -20°C. The bar can be bent at 180° with a bending diameter of 4d.
Length
Tourbillon FA bars are available in length up to 12 m. Longer bars can be provided on request. Electrogalvanized bars are available in lengths of up to 6 m. Diameter 27 bars are only available electrogalvanized. Bars can be assembled with couplers.
Thread
The thread form of the Tourbillon FA bar is an intermittent hot rolled right hand thread with a coarse pitch that is robust, self-cleaning and allows easy assembly on site.
